Twenty-four (24) hours notice is required for cancellations, so I can try and fill your appointment spot.
If an appointment is cancelled within 24 hours, the full session fee will be charged as that spot has been reserved and may be difficult to fill on short notice. However, if I can fill the appointment you will not be charged for a late cancellation.
Illness: If you are experiencing symptoms of an illness, please contact me to switch to a virtual session.
Lateness: If you are late to a session, you are entitled to the remainder of your session.

I use the booking system Janeapp. The booking system will ask for a credit card to book, but this card will not be charged, and the information is encrypted and stored in a PCI-Compliant system.
It’s also important to note that the Jane system complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
If you want further information here is a link for further information on privacy laws in Canada and information about what PCI compliance is for taking credit card payments.

Great question. The RCC designation means that your counsellor has met the specific training requirements (theory, and a specific amount of face-to-face client hours as well as required direct supervision of practice) for the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. On top of the training requirements, we hold ourselves to an ethical code of conduct. My RCC number is RCC #11949.

No. Many people begin counselling because something feels difficult, overwhelming, or different without having a clear explanation. We can begin by talking about what you have been noticing and what you would like to understand better.
